An Exploration of the New MARA Systems + Processes
The new MARA site is finally here and is a reflection of all that we’ve been building and refining over the last month. We knew that we wanted to completely rethink the way we were running our business and implement systems to make everything from the booking process through the end of a client’s project streamlined, efficient, and oh so intentional. The end result is even more robust than anything we’d imagined and we are thrilled to share a look into the features of our new site.
1. Simplified Services Options
We’ve pared down our services to keep things simple and make it easier to know which option best suits your needs. We now have two options for branding, two for website design, and an a la carte day session for miscellaneous design needs.
2. Helpful Comparison Info
We’ve included lots of details to help you more clearly determine which option is the best fit possible for your project. With that said, we’re always available to chat through what would be best for you and your business! Feel free to reach out with any questions and we can give our input or set up a call to discuss further.
3. Online Availability + Booking Calendars
With our new system, you’re able to book your project AND schedule with us at the same time. On our services page you can view our real-time availability for each project type & find a date that works for you. Plus, the side-by-side structure gives you the ability to compare date options for each service easily! After booking, your project is automatically added to our studio’s Google Calendar so we can schedule projects with ease.
4. Custom Build-Your-Design Package Structure
View your project details in this sidebar so you have visibility into each combination as you build out your perfect design package before checking out. The automatic 10% discount for bundling two or more services will also automatically apply here!
5. High End WordPress Templates
Select from 8 MARA WordPress templates and work collaboratively with us to set up + customize with your branding & content in just one day! These will be drag + drop WordPress sites that we can fully load in for you & style to match your brand. 😍 Full site demos coming soon!
6. Payment Plan Options in Checkout
This gives you the ability to compare options & set up your payment plan right upon booking. All projects will include the option of paying in full upfront or splitting into two 50% installments to break up the investment.
7. Design Project Dashboard
Our Notion dashboard gives you all the details you’ll need for your project, including a welcome video from me, a project prep checklist so you have one quick reference on what’s needed to dive into your project, approximate schedule breakdowns for each session type, & so much more. The link to this dashboard is automatically sent out to you right after you book so that you can dive in minutes after scheduling your design intensive – no more waiting for your onboarding materials!
8. An Intuitive New Questionnaire
Our new interactive questionnaire automatically shows you the exact combination of questions for your specific design package. (Wanna nerd out with us on the backend stuff? One of our favorite parts of the behind-the-scenes process is that this questionnaire filters directly into our Notion database that we can link to your project card. It’s kind of magic!)
9. Filterable Web Design Inspiration Gallery
This gallery (made in Notion of course – are you surprised?) features websites that we love to help give you a head start in finding what resonates with you! We are actively adding to this gallery, but feel free to poke around & check out how it works!
10. A Basic Copywriting Guide
Helpful tips and tricks for writing website copy built out in Notion to help you get a head start on planning the content for your site’s pages. If you already use Notion, this page can be duplicated & used as a template (Meaning you can type right on the page to write out your site’s copy!) OR you can use this guide as a reference to write your content in another platform, such as Google Docs.
