Up Close With the New Visual Direction for MARA

This past month has been full of reimagining, restructuring, and reinventing the business we want to be running and the experience we want to be providing for our clients. Included in that has been refining the MARA brand and we wanted to share a look at our new mood board!

 

01. Textural

The brand should incorporate tactile, textural detailing whenever possible.

 

02. Polished

While we want to avoid being too posh, all visual design elements should feel elevated & refined.

 

03. Timeless

The MARA brand should have a timelessness to it, bridging heirloom styles with modern design.

 

04. Emotive

Our content, brand voice, photography, & visuals should feel feminine, poetic, & evoke emotion.

 

05. Effortless

Striking the balance of classic + refined + casual is core to the MARA style.

 

06. Botanical

Though the brand is not flowery, an underlying connection to nature & botanicals is important.

 

07. Neutral

The brand should incorporate tonal brand applications that feel crisp, clean, & warm.

 

08. Simplistic

Simplicity & calm should be at the heart of all that we do, paying careful attention to detail & intentionality.

 

09. Joyful

While refined, the brand should also be friendly & joyful, bringing in looser greenery & lifestyle vibes.

 

10. European

The brand should feel like a Parisian cafe – chic, well-designed, classic, tactile, & a little messy.

 

11. Minimal

This iteration of our brand should incorporate generous amounts of white space + small type.

 

12. Detailed

Our content should include close-up shots, styled details, beautiful light, & a dedication to the small, quiet moments.
