2022 Interior Colors of the Year

The results are in from several paint companies on their 2022 Color of the Year and we can already tell the trend of the year is GREEN! We can’t say we’re upset about this as we’re already swooning head over heels for everything green hued. We’re sharing the Color of the Year selection from Benjamin Moore, Behr, Glidden, PPG Paints, and Sherwin Williams and giving you our take on these verdant, earthy tones. And in case you’re wondering, we DO have a favorite and we’re letting you know which it is. Read ahead and let us know if you agree or if you have a different fav!

1. Benjamin Moore, October Mist

We’re starting off strong with this subtle dusty sage tone that has us in love. It’s soft enough to be fairly neutral which makes it a good choice for someone just taking the dive into adding a pop of color into their home.

2. Behr, Breezeway

This one isn’t as much of an instant “yes” for us, but we’re open minded over here! While we typically prefer tones that lean a little more sagey and a little less mint, we could see this tone surprising us and being oh so beautiful in the right space.

3. Glidden, Guacamole

At first, this feels a little too punchy for our taste, but there’s something about this verdant, springy green that is speaking to our funky alter ego! We’re imagining this color in a more eclectic style home and we think this vibrant grassy green could be so striking!

4. PPG Paints, OIive Sprig

While the swatch of this tone looks very close to October Mist by Benjamin Moore, in all the photos we’ve found it gives off much more of a punchy moss tone which is so fresh! This has a really springy vibe that leans a little more colorful and bright, but still is calming and earthy.

5. Sherwin Williams, Evergreen Fog

We saved the best for last, in our opinion. This color absolutely takes the cake as the perfect grey-green that is not too dark but with the ideal amount of moodiness. It’s calming yet a bit brooding like a foggy storm just rolling in. Here are a few more photos of this dreamy tone which we’ll leave you with!

The green tones with the wood / leather accents and the soft ivory? Yes please!

And now I have to sign off to go paint my bathroom with Evergreen Fog! Let us know which color is your favorite – do you agree or are you ready to challenge us? All we know is we’re so in love with the green trend and hope it will stay a while!
